Happy Earth Day!

Earth day is pretty special to me this year. I think the reason being how many changes we've made to become more environmentally friendly and how self conscious I've become about my carbon footprint. Here's a list of a few things we've changed/incorporated into our lives to be more eco-friendly:

- cloth diapering
- line drying diapers (don't have enough line to dry all the clothes yet!)
- homemade cleaners (vinegar does wonders)
- cloth towels to clean
- recycling more
- buying local & organic food
- reusing/re-purposing things we already have
- meal planning (no/little wasted food)
- less bottled water/using reusable BPA-free plastic bottles

And here's what I plan on doing soon:

- cloth napkins
- glass straws
- starting a garden
- composting (have to talk Joseph into this)
- reuseable bags

I'll try to blog a bit about each individual thing I'm currently doing and will let you know when I successfully incorporate the other things I plan on doing soon!
