Creating an Independent Child with Aqueduck® Faucet Extender

My kids seem to be growing up to quickly! They're constantly trying new things and asking to "do it themselves" instead of having me help. Lately my daughter has become obsessed with washing her hands.

Every time anyone in the family goes into the bathroom she insists on joining so she can wash her hands. If I'm showering, she's at the sink next to the shower begging to wash her hands (when she isn't begging me to let her join), if we're cooking in the kitchen, she's grabbing her stool to push to the sink to wash her hands. You get my point.

But one of the biggest problems she has is the fact that our water faucets are so close to the back of the sink and she just isn't tall enough to reach the stream of water unless someone holds her up. Now that's pretty hard to do when you're in the shower or trying to cook dinner!

That's when the Aqueduck® Faucet Extender comes in handy.

This product rocks! It's saved me so much time and has saved my daughter so much frustration in allowing her to reach the water all on her own. I still have control of the handles to turn the water on and off (and to control the temperature) but she gets to wash her hands as often as possible all by herself! Seriously... why didn't I think of this?

Not only is the Aqueduck® easy to install on any sink (simply pinch the blue sides together and slip onto most faucets), it's removable too. So you can put it in the diaper bag and take it on the go. This makes it incredibly easy to let her wash her hands when we're out and about at restaurants, amusement parks, and hotel rooms.

Plus it's dish washer safe. If my daughter gucks it all up with paint, mud, etc and we want to give it an extra washing we can just add it to the top rack and let it run with the dishes.

The best part about the Aqueduck® Faucet Extender, besides being so easy to use, is that it promotes good hygiene for kids. My daughter loves washing her hands and staying clean. She even reminds us to wash our hands before we sit down to eat, after we get in from being outside, and after we go to the restroom. She even uses it when we brush our teeth at night.

If you have young children at home, or children who visit, then  Aqueduck® is perfect for you! Invented by moms, for moms, this tool not only promotes independence in our young ones, it makes washing hands easy and effortless. You can learn more from Peachy LLC's Facebook page.

The Aqueduck® Faucet Extender comes in Blue, Pink and Grey colors and retails for only $12.99! You can even purchase it on Amazon. How convenient is that?

I love this idea! My son is like spiderman, crawling up the counter to get to the faucet. It's pretty cute though :)

I've seen this around and it would be perfect for my 5 year old who is still quite short and can't reach most sinks. What a great idea.

This is great idea! I always hated that I had to hold them up high enough to get those little hands in the water. Thanks so much for the review.
