The Tuesday after our wedding we took off to Kauai for our honeymoon. From the time we landed to the time we took off again we had soo much fun. There was a new adventure around every corner and we explored most of the island in the time we were there.
We started out by exploring our hotel and the surrounding area. There was an awesome pool with BBQs and an ocean view. When we got to our room we were surprised by a cute little frame and cookies congratulating us on our wedding and thanking us for choosing the Outrigger. Our room overlooked the grounds and we even had an ocean view! Extra bonus.
Our room came with a mini fridge, a flat screen tv and a lanai. The bathroom was awesome! It's the inspiration we will use when we remodel our master bath. The bed was comfy and the closet was big... we were in paradise!
The island had many things to explore. We came ready with our tour book, Kauai Revealed, and used it often while traveling around. We saw Queen's Bath, a great little place for snorkeling. We also snorkeled Tunnels beach a few times (great spot to see many fish!) and one day were even rained on as we snorkeled. So cool!!
We loved the fact that every where we turned there was something else to do. We drove all the way to the west and all the way north many times. Our favorite parts were going over the one lane bridges hoping someone else wasn't coming the other way and finding sno-cone stands. You wouldn't believe how good some of the sno-cones are! They put a scoop of fresh, island-made ice cream on the bottom of the cup and than top it with shaved ice and THAN top it with flavored juices! YUM!
By the time we got home we were exhausted but ready to move forward with daily life. We can't wait to go back. For more pictures check out the link below:
