Preparing for Fall and Hopeful of Rainy Days {Kidorable Rain Coat Review}

Here in San Diego we don't get many rainy days.

My kids longingly look at the tv shows where the other kids wear their cool rain gear; boots, coats, and umbrellas. So when it starts to drizzle (you know, snow, to a So Cal preschooler) you gotta get your rain coat out!

We're still in the midst of a very hot summer but as son as my son saw a little drizzle outside he needed to put on his new Kidorable frog raincoat and play in the mud out back. Good thing he had his toy snake and coonhound explore with him.

When the drizzle turned to sprinkles he put the roomy hood on and got down to business. Digging, hunting for worms, then picking some tomatoes from the garden. He kept asking for his umbrella but I assured him that his hood would be more than enough protection from the snow... er... sprinkles.

This kid would so be in trouble if it ever did snow here!

In order to make my son as comfortable as possible in his rain gear I ordered the next size up (a 4T) to assure that there was some wiggle room in his coat. I am fairly certain this coat will fit him until next Fall! It's so well made and fits perfectly.

The pocket is the perfect place to store worms, rocks, and dirty toys found while splashing in puddles and exploring muddy yards. The hood has some ruching at the front to assure that it wont slide off when we really need it to stay on.

The length of the coat and the sleeves was perfect and when it rains more than a drizzle I know we'll put it to great use!

Kidorable, a company that turns functional children's accessories into fun objects to play and explore with, carries the best items when it comes to rain gear.

The variety of styles and product lines they carry are both unique and irresistable. My son took about 15 minutes to choose what rain coat he wanted for the next school year because he was so torn between the dinosaur style, the dragon knight style, and the frog style. Eventually the frog rain coat won out.

But now my daughter is eying the ladybug collection as she longingly looks at Kidorable's hats and scarves. Kidorable also carries backpacks, bookends, towels and umbrellas! Just about anything you might need to turn a cold day into a day of fun and laughter.

Kidorable's line of children's items are the perfect thing to suggest for birthday gifts, holiday presents, and back-to-school gear! To purchase any Kidorable product simply head over to the Kidorable website and purchase directly from them.

You can keep up with the latest styles and additions to the Kidorable lines by liking on Facebook and following on twitter. They always love to see your kids showing off their gear so feel free to snap a few photos to share with them!

While we lived in San Diego, my husband didn't justify the rain coat prices for 6 kids, because of the lack of rain, lol. Now that we are living in NY, where it rains almost through the whole summer :( I will definitely check them out ;)

These sure would have come in handy while we were living in Ohio, where the weather is just atrocious. My kids are a little too old for these now, unfortunately. I would have loved to have such cute raincoats when my kids were little!
