Lauren Boston Gentle Sleep Coach {San Diego Resources}

Do you need a sleep coach?
Have you ever thrown up your hands in frustration while your child screams out at you in sheer exhaustion? Tried putting them down for a nap and all they wanted to do was play with you or their toys?

Or do you have an unruly toddler who was once the perfect sleeper but has since morphed into a night owl who refuses to go to bed at a decent hour or nap during the day? Have you tried "everything you can think of" to get your child to go to sleep and they still refuse?

If you've  answered yes or nodded your head to any of the above, it might be time to check out a sleep coach.

But Is It Really Worth It?
Through training, technique, and patience, using a sleep coach and learning the way your child thinks about sleep might help you approach the situation with a new outlook. By gaining the insight a sleep coach has to the inner workings of baby and toddler sleep, a lot of frustration can be removed from the equation.

Some of the stories I've heard, including one from a good friend over at Mommy to Elodie, are down right amazing! By working with Lauren, following her advice, and sticking with it, moms and dads have had the satisfaction of happy, sleeping children who magically fall asleep at bed- and nap-time!

About Lauren
Lauren Boston, Sleep Coach & Postpartum Doula, has a true passion for all things related to children's sleep.

Her own daughter was colicky, and a terrible sleeper. Shortly after Lauren called on the services of a sleep coach she saw dramatic results in her daughter's sleep, and overall mood. Lauren was convinced she had to share this gift with other tired parents.

Lauren's Philosophy
Lauren is a Gentle Sleep Coach, trained and certified by Kim West (aka, 'The Sleep Lady'). The method she teaches is gentle, and does not leave children alone to "cry-it-out".

Her knowledge, gained by personal experience and formal training, makes her an excellent choice for parents looking to transform sleepless nights and create a well-rested family.

Post Partum Doulas
In addition to Lauren's Gentle Sleep Coach Certification, she is also a DONA trained Postpartum Doula (http://www.dona.org/mothers/faqs_postpartum.php) and trained in postpartum adjustment, newborn characteristics, breastfeeding, infant development, and the promotion of parent-infant bonding. Her role as a doula is to provide education, non-judgmental support and companionship, and to assist with newborn care and family adjustment. She can offer evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents.

I was lucky with little ones who slept well, but I know my siblings had horrible times with their kids. What a wonderful resource!

I honestly have never heard of a sleep coach before. I remember throwing my tired hands up in frustration many nights. Wish I had a sleep coach back then!

I wish I'd known resources like this were available when my kids were little! Such great info to pass along to new moms.

I guess we were lucky - we've never really had sleep issues with any of our kids. Now, they are teens/tween, so the only problem we have is getting them up and going in the mornings, LOL!

I'm guessing we were lucky as well... sure there were some awful nights but over all, not a horrible time. Those TEETH however, different story :)

We had a sleep couch for our youngest when he was about 7 months old. Best thing ever. We are all so much happier now.

I really could have used one when my son was a baby! In fact, he's still kind of difficult to get to bed!

I was super fortunate with both kids, they have wonderful sleeping habits. I never even knew there was a such thing as a sleep coach, that's awesome.

I think a doula to help learn newborn care would be helpful, especially for first-time parents. GReat service!

Never heard of these before-- sure would have been nice to have when they were all little--none of them can sleep a full night ,one is always awake.

This would be great to have for my first son coming in October. This looks like a fantastic company. This would really help my little one get a full night of rest.

My 5 year old daughter was very easy to get into a sleeping routine. She goes upstairs to get ready for bed at 7 and is asleep by 7:30.... My 7 month old is a different story. Although he doesn't give me a problem to go to sleep is the staying asleep part that proves challenging every night. I breastfeed and I definitely feel sometimes that he treats me as a pacifier. Some nights he might wake up around 3 and other nights it will be 11, 12:30, 3, etc. And I just don't know what the difference is!! Maybe it is time for a sleep coach

My son is a year old and still doesn't sleep through the night. I know it's not the worst thing but I definitely could use her help.

I wonder if she would work for a 4yo. My son says he's "allergic to sleep" and is up every morning between 3 and 4. We brought him for a sleep study that came out fine and we can't figure out why he doesnt sleep

I have a ten month old that still approaches sleep like its the worst thing ever; he started fighting sleep when he was two months old, and we've been sleep deprived since. I had no idea this was even an option. What an amazing resource for tired Mommies and Daddies.

My son has gone thru phases of being a great sleeper and a horrible sleeper. He has never been a good napper tho which drives me crazy b/c mommy needs that break! The biggest problem with naps is getting him to fall asleep, once he is asleep he sleeps for a good period of time :)

I'm always tentative with sleep training techniques, but open to learning about them, just in case something seems to fit my child! I've heard great things about noise machines for helping newborns sleep and with another little one on the way, I'm a little terrified of having a repeat of the sleep-start we had with my son!

Wow i never knew sleep coaches existed. thanks for the information! I will be a new mommy in just 2 weeks and although i've heard every tip from anybody about how to put my baby to sleep (hopefully he won't be fuzzy) I understand that you don't know your baby's personality or sleep patterns until he's born. i think this is a great service! Thanks for the information.

I am a new mom, expecting my baby boy in 4 months. I would love to win the Noise Machine for my baby's future use. I've heard of other types of coaches, but never sleep coaches for babies. Sounds really unique. I will keep in mind as I prepare for my first child! Thank you Lauren Boston for your generosity in this giveaway! (o:

It has been a long road with sleep in our house (especially with my oldest daughter) but we are FINALLY to a point where my girls are both good sleepers! What a great resource, I wish I could have utilized something like this earlier when we were having problems!
