SAVE in San Antonio {Travel Tips and Tricks}

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of SAVE for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Our family loves to travel. My husband and I have a long list of travel destinations we want to go to for a variety of reasons; Adventure, history, family, entertainment. One state that I have not yet explored much (except for a possible route through on a road trip when I was smaller) is Texas. I know. It's sad, huh?

I've heard amazing things about Houston (or maybe just that I need to visit a certain Houston blogger), I've been told I have to visit Austin, and just recently found out about the wonderful and affordable vacation options available in San Antonio.

Summer has always been the season for my husband and I to jump in our cars, or on a plane, and explore a city or two. But summer vacations can get quite pricey now that we're traveling with four instead of just two. So when we plan a vacation, we look for local deals and programs in the area to help us cut costs.

If you're traveling to San Antonio this summer, SAVE – San Antonio Vacation Experience is the program you have to check out! Not only do they find wonderful deals and limited time offers but they also include tips and tricks for your visit!

I took a look at what SAVE could do for my family as I planned out a week long trip there. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that so many of the deals they offer jive with what we wanted to do.

The Food and Rest

Restaurant Week - 8/18-8/25

Being a foodie, I love when I can hit up a city during their Restaurant Week. Not only do I get to peruse a great list of restaurants from the city, I also am getting a discount on what would otherwise be a fairly expensive meal.

San Antonio Hotels -

We love to travel but paying a lot for a hotel is just not in our budget. So when we can find deals that allow us to stay at a hotel for less than $100 a night, we are interested!

Like the Crockett Hotel and Days Inn Sea World,  you can pay as little as $59-$99 a night for a wonderful hotel located in the heart of all the fun.

SAVE Hotel partners include: Grand Hyatt San Antonio, Hyatt Regency San Antonio on the Riverwalk, San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk Hotel, Hilton Palacio del Rio, The Westin Riverwalk San Antonio and many more!

The Fun

Six Flags Fiesta Texas -

My husband and I are thrill-seekers. We're also rollercoaster lovers. So a trip to San Antonio without going to Six Flags would just be wrong. And the park offers concerts all summer long that are free to attend with admission to the park.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas features over 50 rides and attractions, including eight roller coasters. New at Fiesta Texas is the SkyScreamer swing ride that provides aerial views that surpass the park’s quarry walls. SAVE discounts include adults pay kids price, buy an adult ticket and get a child’s free, next day free and more.

The Family

Sea World San Antonio -

Since we frequent Sea World San Diego so often, and even have annual passes, I couldn't miss the opportunity to explore Sea World San Antonio while in the area. Our children love animals and would feel right at home with the various marine life they're so used to visiting.

This season, SeaWorld is debuting “Aquatica,” an 18-acre aquatic park with up-close animal experiences, high-speed thrills and relaxing, sandy beaches. SAVE discounts include deals on family-four packs, second day free, $10 off admission and more.

San Antonio Botanical Gardens - 8/4

If we decide to travel with our dog Scout, the San Antonio Botanical Gardens is having their Dog Days of Summer where all are invited to bring their four legged friends and explore the Gardens

The San Antonio Botanical Garden offers acres of lush vegetation. Visitors can wander through formal gardens and even a special garden for the blind where emphasis is placed on the texture and scent of plants. SAVE discount is $1 off admission
