Every year it's tradition for this family to attend Comic-Con. Since I've known my husband I think I've only missed 1-2 conventions. And we've been together 10+ years! So when we had kids we naturally wanted them to be involved in the event as well. For the first few years we simply dressed them in cute onesies and T-shirts but this year our oldest is finally at an age where he can appreciate the greatness that is dressing up for Comic-Con.
Since one of his favorite shows to watch with Daddy right now is the Star Wars animated series, The Clone Wars, we let him pick out a jedi costume from Wholesale Star Wars Costumes. He chose the Deluxe Jedi Costume and was super excited when it came in.
As soon as we opened up the package and put it on he grabbed his light saber and went into action in our front yard. He was also very specific when I put his costume on and insisted that the two front drapes of cloth did not, in fact, go under the belt as shown in the picture but they stayed outside so they could swing around as he fought the Dark Side.
The costume itself was a great quality. I am pretty sure we'll be able to use it for not only upcoming Comic-Cons but Halloween as well. And I'm sure next year my daughter will want a Princess Leia or Princess Amedala costume of her own. How cute would it be for my kids to go as Luke and Leia for Halloween?
I'm excited to purchase a few accessories to go along with the costume for future dress up fun. I think that I should add a few other costumes to the mix as well so he and his sister have a good variety to choose from when they play dress up. If only I could talk my husband into dressing up with them. Yeah, that's not going to happen!
If you want to keep up with all things Star Wars head on over to the Star Wars page and 'like' them!
Will we see you at the con? What will you or your kids be dressed up as?
Disclaimer: I received a Deluxe Jedi Costume for review purposes only. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
