Cloth Diaper Butler {#clothdiaperhop Sponsor Spotlight}

Ever since I've started cloth diapering I've never been one to be easily grossed out. However one of the tasks I dread with cloth diapering is getting the poo off.

Now I have never had to touch poo nor has it ever gotten close enough to touch me. I simply take the diaper to the toilet, plop whatever is in the diaper in the toilet, and then spray off any excess. And sometimes in that process my hand does get wet. With clean water. That is until I got this handy package in the mail!

The Cloth Diaper Butler is a nifty invention that allows you to hold the diaper in the toilet without using your hands!! Simply clip

I first heard of the Cloth Diaper Butler while I attended the Great Cloth Diaper Change this year. It was part of the auction of cloth diaper items and as soon as I heard what it did I knew I had to have one!

Here's how easy it is:

Simply clip the cloth diaper butler onto the diaper like so

Then place it into the toilet and spray off any poo

And then you can swish it around in the toilet to make sure everything is comletely off!

After everything is off the daiper you simply put the wet diaper into your bathroom wetbag (or pail) and call it a day! You never have to actually touch the diaper. And if needed, you can even let the diaper soak a bit in the toilet by draping the butler over the toilet and closing the lid. No more fishing for diapers from the toilet either.

The Cloth Diaper Butler takes the "ick" factor out of your diaper washing routine. It offers a better spraying angle and the ability to soak soiled cloth. (Water can do wonders for sticky poo.) No need to fiddle around with a dirty diaper with your hands. Let the Butler do it!

The makers of the Cloth Diaper Butler have kindly offered to give one lucky Simmworks Family Blog reader a Cloth Diaper Butler of their own (a $12.95 value) in the Fluffy Butts Cloth Diapering Giveaway Hop!

Make sure to head on back to this blog between June 4th and June 15th to enter to win my cloth diapering essentials package for Fluffy Butts! Then enter all of the other wonderful blogs linking up to this event.

Not having used cloth diapers, I often wondered about how this all worked - this seems like a great solution!

So I am kinda curious where the water sprayer comes from? I certainly don't have one in my bathroom

We are trying to get pregnant, and I am already thinking about cloth vs. disposable diapers. The cloth cleaning process is one issue I've considered and this product looks wonderful!

Cole - We installed our own diaper sprayer. You can purchase one from various cloth diaper friendly sites or build one like we did. They run about $50 for most models.

But with the cloth diaper butler, if you don't have a sprayer you can easily just swish the diaper in the toilet to remove the poo instead.

I didn't use cloth diapers with my son, so this isn't something I have thought about. But it's definitely a helpful little tool!

I think this would also work for plain old underwear. My daughter still won't go #2 in the toilet! :/

I love this! My kids are grown now,but once upon a time, I had three in cloth diapers at once! Why is it I don't remember having touched much poo? Selective memory, I guess!

I love the idea that you can let your diaper soak and not fish for it later. Word of caution, keep the bathroom door shut and toddler proof unless you want wet poo diaper dragged and swung all over the house.

I remember my mother swishing and shaking out a diaper in the toilet which she had to constantly clean, it was so disturbing. This is so helpful to prevent getting nasty hands
