Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler {#earthdayevent Sponsor Spotlight}

We have tried our best to become as eco-friendly as possible. With this journey to a more green home, we've started to recycle just about anything and everything we can. And since anything I do is mimicked by the kids I've been looking for a great solution to getting the kids more involved in recycling.

Since we recycle all of our paper I always just have the kids toss what we need to put in the recycling bin on the counter. Over the course of the day and week our counters get pretty messy with recycling to take out to the bin. And since the kids aren't big enough yet to take the recycling directly to the bin there's been no other way to transfer the recycling other than to take it myself. So I've been trying to find a great solution for the whole family.

Then I found the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler. Not only was the recycler easy to put together but it fit perfectly on our cupboards. And now the kids have the perfect place to store all of the paper we find around the house to recycle. And I don't find myself being annoyed with cluttered countertops Win-win for everyone!

I especially love the fact that the kids can easily access and use it without any help from me. They love helping out around the house and are learning about what we can and cannot put in the bin. Sorting is quite a fun game now!

A few benefits of the Hidden Recycler are:
  • Gets recyclables off the counter and hiden out of sight
  • Easy attachment to a cabinet door with hooks included with the product or screws
  • A convinient handle allows the bag t oeasily be transported to wherever your recycling is stored for pick-up or transportation
  • A 5 gallon bag that holds up to 36 12-ounce cans and can fit a milk jug
  • The bag has a leak-proof liner and is machine washable to make it easy to clean after any unexpected spills
  • The bag is soft-sided allowing for flexibility inside any cabinet
  • The bag and all packaging is made from recyclable material, and the product is recyclable
The dimensions of the Hidden Recycler are 12.7” W x 9.9” D x 17” H

Is this very big? We don't have much room under our cabinet, but I'd love to have something like this for gathering cans.

Hmm I wonder if this would be better than the bin we keep under the sink. We miss it and cans are all over in the cabinet.

Charlene - the dimensions are 12.7” W x 9.9” D x 17” H. Since its soft bodied it fits nicely even in the cabinet w/ our stand mixer in it.

Sounds like a great idea! Right now we just have our recycling bin under our table behind our trash can.

I like that it fits under your counter to keep your recyclables out of view. I also like the handle. It would make it much easier to take it out.
