After researching and testing many different products and designs, Laura created a line of labels that include Regular and Slimline Stickers, Shoe Labels, Iron-ons and Bag Tags. They are not only bright, fun and colourful but also met the high standards that parents have come to expect. The Regular and Slimline labels are microwave and dishwasher safe, the Iron-on labels stay put in the washer and dryer, the Shoe Labels have an extra strength adhesive to ensure they won't come off and the Bag Tags are made of a durable and flexible plastic.
When I received my Holly Jolly gift pack of Loveable Labels the first thing I saw was the thought and care they put into packaging their labels. Not only did the labels come in an adorable booklet but the booklet contained the care and instructions printed inside. I found that extremely helpful and was able to start using the labels right away. I have to admit, when I first started labeling I might have gone a little crazy.
Since my children aren't in pre-school or daycare I haven't yet had to label much but now that they're going to the gym childcare I've found the need to label a lot more important. Especially two items in particular. Coats and sippy cups. I am amazed at how often my son will forget his sippy cup or coat. And more often than not I have to wrack my brain trying to figure out which one we actually had on that day to give the caregivers a description of the item left behind. A week ago we forgot my son's beloved dinosaur coat. He was heartbroken. But the next day we walked in the door and as soon as they saw us they pulled it out. They read the label and knew it was ours.
When I got the package there was one label that just didn't make sense to me. Why on earth would I need a shoe label? Then I realized how many places we go with the kids where we need to take our shoes off... Java Mama, KidVentures, the play area at Sea World. And I know I've run into a problem with kids having the exact same pair of shoes. We even once had a kid try to shove his foot into my son's shoe once and it was about 2 sizes too small. Now that we have the shoe labels we don't have to worry about being able to identify ours from other kids.
There are so many awesome ways you can use these labels. From books and toys to clothes and family games, we will definitely be able to find a home for each and every label we've received. I'm even thinking of making individual labels for each of the kids to prevent future fights about who's x<insert name of random item or toy> is whose. And I now know who my go to company is for all my labeling needs... including the organizational kind we need for our office!
